We're here! Cross play tournaments are available for all console players and tournament organizers!
Significant changes have been made to the tournament system to support cross play tournaments between XBOX and PlayStation players. I took extra care to make the change as minimal as possible for organizers and for users registering teams on public tournaments. The new system will allow you to create and manage tournaments just like you did previously but now you'll be able to select teams and players from both console systems. Platform icons have been added to a number of spots to show you who's who and the autosuggest feature for players has been drastically modified to allow for some edge cases you may never see.
I'm excited to get this release out. It has been a long time since I've been able to put out a large scale release like this so your feedback is welcome and very helpful. Smaller, less noticeable updates go out constantly but large scale ones like this are further between. This one was especially difficult given the Coronavirus and how it has altered my day to day workload and "free time".
I'm looking forward to you getting your hands on these new tournaments and I hope that players enjoy being able to be competitive with other console systems.
