Missing matches from your recent matches list

Monday, December 16th 2019

Hello out there! I wanted to write an announcement about missing matches from your recent matches list (if that has happened to you) to give you the information I have about it.

What's been going on?

Some players have been reporting over the last month or so that matches are not being tracked and are missing from their recent matches list. This has been reported to the PUBG API team at length. In a recent update to the official API the API team said that the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, it wasn't.

What happened after that?

After that update went out we continued to see matches being dropped from player's stats and their recent matches list. I continued to get bug reports about it. Again, I reported these issues to the API team. Since then they have re-opened the issue and are looking at what might be going wrong.

What do we know now?

The most recent news I have is that there is a bug in the actual game client that is preventing matches from being reported. This is why you don't see the matches in your game client either. This is affecting all PUBG third party systems that use the official API and it appears to be affecting the in-game client as well.

When will all matches be tracked again?

Unfortunately, we haven't been given a timeline for a fix. The PUBG API team is great and has been responding to these issues but the problem is being escalated to the development group that is working on the game client. For now, it seems, there is nothing that the official API team can do until the game client is fixed. I suspect that once the issue is fixed at the game level it will be resolved at the API level as well.

Will my old matches ever show up?

I don't have any official word on if old matches will eventually be added back to your stats or not. What I suspect is that they will not be retroactively added to your stats. I don't have any official word on that but it's what I assume will be the case.

If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me on Twitter or from the contact page.

I'll keep everyone as up to date as possible.

Cheers
