Match roster frequency!

Monday, February 25th 2019

Have you ever thought to yourself "I see that same player in a lot of my games...". Now you can see who you play with and against the most. On your Account Dashboard you'll see a new panel for "Roster Frequency". This panel will show you the 10 most frequent players from the last 20 matches played. Stream snipers... we see you.

Feedback is very appreciated!

Search recent opponents

Thursday, February 21st 2019

Have you ever wanted to know how many times you've played against somebody recently? You can now search for players in the rosters of your last 50 matches. Check our your Player Dashboard to search recent matches. You'll get a list of matches that you've shared with that player, their upper-level stats, and a link to the match report.

As always, feedback is welcome. Good luck out there and be kind to each other!

Profile daily progress graph

Tuesday, February 19th 2019

A user emailed a suggestion for the ability to see your average damage over a length of time. This way you can get an idea of how you're progressing from a damage standpoint. That was a great idea so I took a stab at it. This is the first version of the feature and I would love to hear your feedback.

Sidebar... Did you know that you can set your default home page? Click/Tap on settings in the navigation to change your home page to the Dashboard, Season Stats or Recent Matches.

The graph (on your account dashboard) represents statistics from either the last 50 matches broken up by days or the last 7 days. Whichever comes first. For example, if you played 7 matches a day for the last 7 days you'll see every match accounted for. If you only played 5 matches yesterday then you'll only see those matches. Your average damage for the day is represented as a bar graph. The Y axis on the left is the scale for your average damage done for matches played on that day. Also in the graph are two plotted lines. These lines are your total kills and total matches played. The Y axis on the right represents the scale for those data points.

I hope you find it useful! The graph takes a little longer to load than normal because we're loading the data for 50 matches.

New account dashboard page

Monday, February 4th 2019

By default the new home page is your Account Dashboard. This page is intended to give you an overview of your player stats and some new information like recent teammates and player rankings. You can see averages for your last 10 games, what maps you've been playing and a direct link to your last 10 matches.

Another part of this update is you can now see your player rank, rank title, and rank icon. This update goes to all season stats panels.

More to come!

XBOX Lifetime stats update

Tuesday, January 29th 2019

Since the Vikendi release, some XBOX users were reporting that they were missing significant numbers from their lifetime stats. The way we have to calculate lifetime stats is by cycling through every season available to PUBG Lookup from the official PUBG API and compile that information into what you see on the lifetime stats page. When the Vikendi release came out the PUBG API had removed the earliest available XBOX season which represented a lot of games, wins, and kills for early players. I have implemented a fix so that the first season is now back in the calculations.

Cheers everybody. Be kind to each other and let me know if you notice any other issues!

Profile URLs and player search updates

Tuesday, January 22nd 2019

This announcement is to let you know that I'll be sending out an update today that will address some underlying technical issues related to player names and player search. This update will require an update to the URLs that are used for player seasons, player recent match stats, and player match reports.

New Player URLs

New player URLs will include the profile platform. For example pubglookup.com/players/chocotaco will now look like pubglookup.com/players/steam/chocotaco. If you have bookmarked a page with a player name in it, that link will need to be updated. I have set the URLs to be backwards compatible but that will be phased out within a month or so.

Player Search Updates

This update allows PUBG Lookup to support more players. When I launched PUBG Lookup it was primarily a small stats site that focused on XBOX players. Since then, PUBG launched on the PlayStation Network and we've moved much more heavily into PC players. This caused problems with the way I originally programmed the site to store player profiles. It's my fault. Essentially, if you had the exact same player name on PS4 as you do on XBOX you could only see one profile. They were treated as the same player. With this update profiles will be saved based on their profile name and their platform. This allows players with the same name to still use the site and see the correct stats. It should also prevent issues that some users were seeing when they searched for their name and received an error due to duplicate entries.

As with any technical update, there is the chance for some bugs to pop up. Please, please, please let me know if you see anything acting weird or if you get any 404 pages that you shouldn't be getting. It's a 1 man show over here so any help in the testing department is very much appreciated!

Cheers and be good to one another.

Beta features and more

Saturday, January 12th 2019

There have been a ton of updates getting released over the last week or so. User interface updates, beta features and some content updates made the list this time around.

Beta features

There are two new features that are available as a Beta release that I'm really excited about. One is a feature that I've wanted for a while and another is a widely requested feature.

Saving kill tree images

Now, at the top of your kill tree panel, you can click the "download kill tree" button to download a PNG image of your kill tree. Share it with friends, post it on your twitter, save it for the sweet memories. Your choice.

Favorite match reports

Many people have asked for this one. You can now mark a match as a favorite. There are two major benefits to saving match reporst to your favorites. 1. You can get quick access to them by clicking on the favorites in the navigation and 2. Favorited match reports are available for longer than normal match reports. Typical match reports are available for 2 weeks after the match. Favorited match reports are available for... Longer. It's a Beta feature and that's part of what I'm working out. Likely 4 - 5 months but we'll see.

General updates

  • Added F.A.Q. section
  • Added a contact page
  • Added totals to recent matches statistics
  • Map images in match previews
  • Match leaderboard UI Updates
  • Navigation UI Updates
  • Failed search results UI updates
  • Damage timeline UI updates

Updated Match Report UI

Wednesday, January 9th 2019

Parts of the user interface in match reports have been updated. This is to hopefully make things more clear and easier to scan. I also wanted to make it easier to jump to your teammates stats and match reports.

Updated team overview

The team overview got a bit of a style overhaul. Team members will now be listed in descending order by kills and you can now see the team's total damage in the top right corner of the panel. You can also quickly get access to your teammate's season statistics and current match report.

Added headshot accuracty and damage to damage details

In the Accuracy tab in the "Player Damage Details" panel you can now see how many of your shots were headshots. This is different from headshot kills. You'll see what percentage of shots were headshots as well as the total damage done by headshots alone.

Updating player damage timeline UI

The timeline was pretty hard to understand at a quick glance. I've updated the UI to hopefully make it a bit easier to scan. This includes background colors for different types of events and updated copy.

That's all for now. Some larger features are in the works.

Cheers all!

Feature Poll : Player Report Cards

Monday, January 7th 2019

One day left!

Check out the community poll on twitter! New Feature Community Poll

Daily and weekly report cards is a new feature idea that would send you an email either daily or weekly that has details stats about that period of play. The goal would be to provide comprehensive stats about daily or weekly sessions so you can get a better idea of how you're progressing.

Go vote and leave a comment if you have any great ideas!

Opt-in ads

Saturday, January 5th 2019

This site is community driven and funded. I have tried to keep ads off of this project for as long as possible. The time has come, though, and I'm asking you for help.

Ads for guests

Users that have not registered for a PUBG Lookup account will see ads on player seasons and match reports. If you are a registered user, you have the option to disable ads.

Opt-in ads for members

In it's current form, ads are an optional "opt-in" setting. I am trying this to see how many of the community memers are willing to look at ads to support this site and how many people would prefer to not see ads. It probably goes without saying but I know that nobody wants ads on the site. This is the best way that I could figure out without forcing it on everybody.

If you would like to support this site and this project for free you can choose to opt-in to ads. It would be very, very helpful.

Thank you again for all of the continued enthusiasm!
