PS4 data is live!

PUBG for the PS4 is live!

We didn't have any way to test the system so we're rolling with it as more PS4 players start getting games in. Recent matches are functional and match reports are fully functional. At the moment it appears that season statistics and lifetime statistics are not available for PS4 players. I assume that will start populating on the PUBG servers shortly. I'll keep an eye out for it.

You can start searching for PS4 players just like you would for XBOX and PC now.

Good luck PS4 players!

PUBG Lookup supporters page

Tuesday, December 4th 2018

I wanted to make sure that the supporters of PUBG Lookup were able to get recognized. I have some more updates in the works but I wanted to announce the PUBG Lookup supporters page.

Without the kindness and support of the PUBG community (specifically the xbox community) this application wouldn't exist. I am grateful to every person that has said a kind word, shared PUBG Lookup with their friends, and especially those who have donated financially. It's humbling to have people appreciate your work and I am amazed at the level of support, in all forms, that I've received from this community.

Thank you. You're the reason this project exists.

Thank you. Every last one of you.

Friday, November 30th 2018

These last few days have been an absolute whirlwind. I am in awe at how this community and the users of this site have rallied behind this project. It's been humbling to say the least. I cannot wait to continue development and to grow this site for the community.

I am truly, truly grateful to everyone that has supported me. Thank you.

A new update has been released

Friday, November 30th 2018

Hello everyone!

For those of you that have been following along, it's been a wild ride today. At this point I have a version of the code that has been relatively lightly tested (by yours truly) and should hopefully only change one aspect of the user experience. If you navigate to a new xbox profile you'll be given the option to set the region for that profile's season. The new API updates from PUBG allow the "recent matches" page to display all recent matches regardless of region (as I understand it).

PUBG is working on a new region selection process that would automatically choose the region for your match based on your network / ping. This is a good thing. In theory it means you'll be more likely placed with players of similar ping and it also means that your "recent matches" page will list all matches regardless of region selection. This is a positive move.

The new update does not yet apply to season statistics or lifetime statistics for XBOX players. Both of those still need to be associated with a region. In order to view a "new" xbox profile's season data you'll have to select the region for that profile.

If you search for a player your search selection will define the region. If you click on a player from a match leaderboard, you'll be presented with a new screen that allows you to set the region for that profile.

As always, please report any bugs as you see them. I'm available on twitter, at the bug reporting page, and by email at support@pubglookup.com

Backing PUBG Lookup Patreon or supporting with a donation

Friday, November 30th 2018

I've had a number of people ask how they can support PUBG Lookup. There are two easy ways. One is that you can donate via credit card on the donate page or you can become a Patreon backer.

I hope to add donation flair and other "thank you" elements to the application so that your player profile will stand out in the crowd.

As always... I do not expect anyone to donate and this application will always be free to use.

Cheers everybody. Stay out of the red zone.

UPDATE - PUBG Lookup will be available on a limited scale tomorrow

Thursday, November 29th 2018

Wow. You are all incredible. I never thought in the few short hours that the announcement was live that I would get the kind of response I've gotten. You have emailed, messaged me on twitter, posted comments on Reddit and I've even gotten a donation from you kind souls.

The internet is a wonderful, horrible, beautiful, nasty, kind-hearted place.

I'm going to commit to updating what I can tonight. I think that I have found a middle ground so that these pages will still be available to PUBG Lookup users.

Will remain available

  • Recent Matches
  • Match reports
  • Recent Match Statistics

What will (likely) not be available

  • Season statistics
  • Lifetime statistics

I will do my best to get as much of the site back to fully functional as possible. I hope that those of you that use this site regularly will stick around and I hope that I can make it continue to work like it always has in the next few days. Good thing the weekend is coming up!

You all have been very, very heart warming for a nerd with a passion project. Thank you for speaking up.

PUBG Lookup is shutting down tomorrow.

Thursday, November 29th 2018

The API team has made changes to the way we make requests to their system. These changes will break the vast majority of requests that we make to their system. Without a significant investment of time to re-work a huge portion of PUBG Lookups requests it will stop working tomorrow, November 30th.

The fragmentation of the API is just getting worse and worse. This is a project that I built for the community and for fun. It costs money to run it and now with this new update it just doesn't make sense to try to keep it going. To the thousands and thousands of users that have enjoyed this site... I really appreciate you all. To everybody that was so encouraging on Reddit... I appreciate you all so much more. The kindness in this community is fantastic. I just don't have the hours in the day to keep up with PUBG's breaking changes.

With immense sadness... We'll be shutting down tomorrow. If I can find the time to re-work the system or if PUBG updates their API to not be so fragmented between platforms then I will be able to bring it back online.

Thank you all. From the bottom of my heart.

Player health in Player Damage Details - Timeline

Monday, November 19th 2018

PUBG tracks a player's health down to two decimal places. This means that you or somebody you are fighting can have a health of 0.01 and still be alive. In the damage timeline, this was represented as 0 but not dead. I've udpated the timeline to show decimal places when the player has less than 1 health and is still alive. If you've ever spectacted a player that just killed you and has seemingly zero health... that's why. Cheers all!

Lifetime stats have been updated

Thursday, November 15th 2018

Lifetime statistics should now show the correct information. I was able to locate an issue that was causing an entire season of data to not be considered in the lifetime statistics calculations. If you are still seeing problems with your stats, please submit a bug report and I'll dig into it! Cheers everybody and thanks for your patience!

There was a DDOS attack earlier today

Tuesday, October 30th 2018

It appears to be ongoing. I am moving some things around to try to mitigate the attack and get the site back to normal. You might notice some interuptions during this process.
